  • Are You Willing? Special guest Josh Higgins
    Feb 27 2026

    Send a text

Minister at the University Church of Christ in Tampa, Florida, Josh is a guest for our weekend Young Adult weekend at Milwaukee Ave church. The power of the gospel and its ability to change your life for the better is inspirational. Being a Christian isn’t about having all the answers. It means you can’t continue or make it without help from God. Life with God is better than life without God.

The family of God being a reflection of unity despite untold differences. If you are seeking something better than what you have, look toward changing your life to be like Jesus. Are you willing to entertain the thought there is someone who knows you so well, your deepest darkest secrets, yet still wants to be in a loving relationship with you. Jesus says, “I will not forsake you.” He is not far from you now. The choice for a better life is yours.

  • Preparing or Obsessing
    Feb 12 2026

There are those who receive persecution, trials and hardships for their beliefs. Some even are subject to pain, physical attacks, imprisonment and death. Perhaps you were subject to a culture of preparation for these inevitable events. Were they destructive to your psyche in your upbringing? Do you associate faith with that trauma?

Though the Bible does not sugar coat we will be persecuted for our beliefs, the instruction is to be prepared for when they do happen in your life. The healing that is inherited in following Christ is understanding the power that supports you above those things.

We pray that peace and love be plentiful in all of God’s family around the world.

  • Should We Remember the Holy Days?
    Jan 19 2026

    Send us a text

Leviticus 23 is a chapter that illustrates all the Holy Days of the Jews. These days had cultural and religious significance to those people. Jesus fulfilled these festivals by honoring them and fulfilling them with righteous purpose.

Jesus’s activity on the Holy Days during the narrative of the New Testament is of note. The miracles and teachings carried out around these festivals brought about great significance to His work. Should we observe the holy festival days today?

  • I’m Not Hurting Anyone Else
    Jan 9 2026

    Send a text

The moral argument is a core apologetic to both Christians and Atheists. While the world was at war, C.S. Lewis brought to a radio presentation a presentation of Christianity without the use of direct scripture reference. A fascinating story on how an argument can be created using secular means is presented in Mere Christianity.

Considering morality, Lewis presents an argument that morality has three parts. Within yourself, yourself toward others, and collectively as a society and direction represent the three parts.

If you think you aren’t hurting anyone else with your choices, are you hurting yourself internally? The teaching of the New Testament champions personal improvement and change from your old self. Going so far as to calling our old self evil, calling us to sanctification through internal change. Put aside the old man and renew your mind.

This internal change is what triggers your interaction toward others. Finding like minded people who are also working out their salvation is the purpose of the church, through edification and community.

  • The Extra Mile - 2025 Question Recap
    Dec 29 2025

    Send us a text

It’s been an outstanding year with great guests and excellent perspectives on what it means to go the extra mile for others.

Matthew 5:41 describes instruction from Jesus about this principle. If any would force you to go with them a mile, go with them two. Not begrudgingly, but with the mindset that you were placed in that situation to make a change. It takes perspective of heavenly thinking to take that first step.

The Bible does not promise we won’t suffer in this world. In fact, it guarantees we will suffer for our faith. Rejoice in the Lord through our sufferings, because this world has already been overcome by Jesus. That perspective and faith causes action toward others, to help them out of darkness, to break down barriers, to cause others to pause and question what’s going on.

Salvation is open to all, for those who have ears to hear and eyes to see. Behold, Jesus stands at the door and knocks. Will you open the door of your heart to Him?

  • The Rise of Christian Media
    Dec 22 2025

    Send us a text

Audio Note: One of our microphones has a slight echo in this episode. Thanks for bearing with us—despite the technical hiccup, the conversation is strong and we believe it’s worth sharing.

Christian and Biblically inspired media is on the rise, offering new ways to share faith and spark spiritual conversations. But is it actually helping people grow, or becoming a substitute for real Bible study and discipleship? In this episode, we explore the strengths and shortcomings of this trend and what role Christian media should—and shouldn’t—play in evangelism today.

Does Christian media serve as a replacement for searching the scriptures for you? Does the media you consume inspire you to pursue a perishable wreath, or the everlasting crown of life?

Give us your answers in the comments below.
