NEURAL LINK RECOVERY FILE: ENTRY 004

The voyage to Kepler deepens as The Master Computer monitors severe subconscious resistance within the stasis bays. Peer into the simulated REM cycles of Subject 4-G as the unfeeling mainframe logs his forbidden attachments to a green, growing Earth-origin world. Experience the vivid terrors of a mind systematically targeted for a total data purge while drifting through system shadows.

This transmission features critical telemetry logs capturing an unauthorized, parasitic neural link during deep sleep. Subject 4-G bypasses internal security arrays to establish contact with an elusive presence known as Horselover Fat (aka Philip K. Dick), uncovering a chilling truth about their computer-programmed reality. This frequency intercept is followed by an anomalous isotropic RF broadcast from James James on the Starship VALIS, transmitting Radio Free Albemuth directly from Frolix 8 and broadcasting "Hello from the Children of Planet Earth" by Firefriend.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Dreaming Astronaut is the immersive multimedia recording project of visionary artist and composer Jeff Hopp operating out of MARS Studio. Residing at the intersection of analog warmth and digital precision, the project tracks the last survivors of Earth drifting in frozen stasis through the weird, half-life fever dreams of Cold-Pac technology. This transatlantic space-rock drama serves as an interactive narrative extension of the monthly music releases, combining deep audio drama vectors with high-fidelity electronic synthesis.

Special thanks to Yuri and Julia of Firefriend for allowing their frequency to be safely intercepted by the feed.

NEURAL LINK RECOVERY FILE: ENTRY 003

The voyage to Kepler deepens as Master Control initiates the cold-pac neural link for Subject 4-G. Peer into the simulated subconscious of a traveler suspended in cryo-stasis where underground bunkers give way to starships and the vast expanse of deep space. Experience the vivid terrors of psychic law enforcement and the reality of Earth's survivors longing for the world they left behind.

This transmission features an interrogation log detailing a shared collective consciousness among the stasis pods along with a mysterious intercepted RF broadcast originating from the CY30-CY30b system circa 1986 featuring James James broadcasting a radio show from the starship VALIS.
