  • Senator Rand Paul Pushes New Hemp Bill | TDR Cannabis in 5
    Apr 17 2026
There’s a new development out of Washington that’s getting a lot of attention—especially on the hemp side of the industry. In the latest TDR Cannabis in Five presented by Flowhub, host Shadd Dales breaks down a proposed bipartisan bill led by Senator Rand Paul aimed at protecting hemp products from potential federal restrictions. On the surface, the message is about protecting farmers, jobs, and consumer access. But inside the cannabis industry, the conversation goes a bit deeper.Because for years, a large part of the hemp market has grown around a loophole tied to the 2018 Farm Bill—allowing intoxicating products like delta-8, delta-10, and THCA flower to be sold outside of the regulated cannabis system. Now, with a federal crackdown expected later this year, that model is being challenged. This segment looks at what this new bill is actually trying to do—and more importantly, what it doesn’t address. Is this about creating a real regulatory framework for hemp products?Or is it an attempt to preserve parts of the market as they currently exist? That’s where the focus shifts.Because the bigger issue isn’t whether hemp should be protected—it’s how it should be regulated moving forward. For operators and investors, this is another sign that the industry is moving toward clearer rules. The question now is what those rules will look like—and who they benefit.#CannabisNews #HempIndustry #Delta8 #THCA #CannabisPolicy #CannabisStocks #USCannabis #MarijuanaNews #TDR #FlowhubWant to see more Cannabis Reform videos?🎬 • Virginia Cannabis Plan Faces New Changes |... 🎬 • Texas Hemp Ban Hit With Legal Pause | TDR ... 🎬 • RFK Jr. & Dr. Oz Move to Dismiss CBD Medic... 🎬 • Cannabis Rescheduling Isn’t Delayed It Jus... • Virginia Cannabis Plan Faces New Changes | TDR Cannabis in 5
    Apr 16 2026
There’s a new update out of Virginia—and it’s an important one if you’ve been following the path toward adult-use cannabis. In the latest TDR Cannabis in Five presented by Flowhub, host Shadd Dales breaks down where things stand after Governor Abigail Spanberger returned the adult-use bill with a set of proposed amendments. The original legislation laid out a clear framework for launching retail sales after years of legal possession without a regulated market. Now, those amendments are changing some key pieces—including delaying the launch timeline, reducing the number of retail licenses, increasing taxes down the road, and adding new enforcement provisions. That’s led to pushback from multiple sides. Some lawmakers feel the amendments shift the balance of what was originally agreed upon. At the same time, industry participants—including MSOs, smaller operators, and hemp businesses—are all weighing in, and in many cases, they’re aligned in questioning parts of the revised approach. And that’s what makes this moment worth watching. You’ve got different parts of the industry—groups that don’t always agree—now speaking with a similar tone when it comes to how this market should be structured. From here, lawmakers will decide whether to accept the amendments, reject them, or let the bill stall altogether. So this isn’t the final step—but it’s an important one.Because the decisions made here will shape how Virginia approaches adult-use cannabis heading into 2027.#CannabisNews #VirginiaCannabis #CannabisPolicy #AdultUseCannabis #CannabisIndustry #MSOS #CannabisInvesting #MarijuanaNews #TDR #FlowhubWant to see more Cannabis Reform videos?🎬 • Texas Hemp Ban Hit With Legal Pause | TDR ... 🎬 • RFK Jr. & Dr. Oz Move to Dismiss CBD Medic... 🎬 • Cannabis Rescheduling Isn’t Delayed It Jus... 🎬 • How Media Gets the Cannabis Youth Conversa... • Who’s Ready for Post-280E Cannabis? | TTB Presented by Flowhub
    Apr 15 2026
In the latest Trade To Black podcast presented by Flowhub, hosts Shadd Dales and Anthony Varrell sit down with Terry Mendez, CEO of Safe Harbor Financial (NASDAQ: SHFS), to understand what happens next as cannabis moves closer to federal reform. The focus here is simple—who’s actually ready for a post-280E world?Because if cannabis is rescheduled to Schedule III, the removal of 280E would completely change the financial picture for operators. Lower tax burdens, stronger cash flow, and healthier balance sheets all sound great—but not every company is built to take advantage of that shift. We break down the difference between operators that are already running like real businesses—with proper financials, compliance, and banking relationships—and those that may get exposed once the industry moves into a more traditional financial system. There’s also a look at the hemp side of the market, especially with growing momentum toward tighter federal rules on intoxicating hemp products. If that happens, a lot of those operators may be forced into the same regulatory framework as cannabis—and that comes with a very different level of financial scrutiny. The big takeaway: this industry is moving toward normalization—but that doesn’t mean everyone is prepared for it.#CannabisStocks #CannabisInvesting #SafeHarbor #SHFS #CannabisBanking #280E #CannabisNews #MSOS #CannabisPolicy #CannabisReschedulingWant to see more Cannabis Reform videos?🎬 • Texas Hemp Ban Hit With Legal Pause | TDR ... 🎬 • RFK Jr. & Dr. Oz Move to Dismiss CBD Medic... 🎬 • Cannabis Rescheduling Isn’t Delayed It Jus... 🎬 • How Media Gets the Cannabis Youth Conversa...
