A.J. and Larry Foyt are Texas racing legends. And you might not guess what passion they are pursuing next; wine making!

When you think “Texas”, you probably don’t think “wine”. Well these days, maybe you should start! We made our way out to Texas Wine Country and stopped at Foyt Winery and Museum to get the scoop.

The Foyt family is pretty much Texas royalty. A.J. Foyt is arguably the best race car driver in history, winning races across nearly every type of motorsport out there from the Le Mans to the Daytona 500! His son Larry followed suit, winning his own races and eventually, taking over as President of A.J. Foyt Enterprises. Larry was kind enough to invite us out to their family winery in Fredericksburg, TX. Man y’all have got to see this place. The atmosphere, the people, the wine, and the cars are unforgettable!

It’s literally a piece of Texas history built by the Foyt family. We got to sit down with Larry and chat deeper about the why and the how of the winery, along with inside details of what it was like growing up in a racing family.

If you get the chance to head out to Texas Wine Country, Foyt Winery is definitely worth a stop!
