There are anywhere between 49 and 75 victims being attributed to one, or perhaps more, active serial killer in the Chicago area. Theories abound, but how has such a prolific killer (or killers) remained at large stalking human prey for so long, given our modern forensic methods of detection? Many experts predicted that we would never see the victim numbers that killers were able to reach in the 1970s and ‘80s due to advanced forensics, so how has the “Chicago Strangler”(as he’s known in the press) managed to elude capture? And who is killing the women of Chicago?
