    • Agendaless Coaching That Leads Somewhere
      Feb 20 2026

In this episode Taylor Steinke and G.K. Self explore coaching through curiosity. Rather than a hard structured interview where the person being coached is subjected to an arbitrary agenda scripted by the coach, what happens when you scrap the agenda and focus on the person and their challenge.

Agendaless does not mean no structure. The spine of the conversation - from the coach's point of view - is Listen, Reflect, Challenge, and Move to Action.

    • Root Cause Analysis (The 5 Whys) In Coaching
      Feb 6 2026

Taylor and G.K. explore the use of "Why" questions in excavating root causes of client challenges. Common practice is to avoid asking "Why?" when coaching clients or direct reports and instead ask "What", "How", "When", and "Where" reflective questions.

There are times, however, when in the proper setting, asking "Why?" is the most effective route to discovering the root of the problem.
