    Conservatives who used to be Democrats are a growing group. There are a lot of famous names among them - RFK, Jr. Tulsi Gabbard, and the most famous of all, Donald Trump. Their reasons are well known, but we don’t know the reasons of the millions of people who’ve switched their voter registration from D to R over the past 5 years. It’s easy to speculate, between the Biden Era’s rampant inflation, gender indoctrination of children, illegal alien invasion, the government censorship machine - there’s a reason for everyone to run. Tonight I have the chance to do a deep dive with my friend Kevin Hammer, who was at one time an avowed Liberal. We met once he had already made the leap to active, vocal conservative. I want to know what was appealing about the left to start, and what was it that made him turn to the right? How was he treated by both sides when he made the switch?     In 2022, Mike Race and her husband bought a home in picturesque Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Embarking on a new future together, their dreams were soon torn apart. Less than a year after closing, they learned that the city had plans for a new road project and would be exercising its rights to eminent domain. The city moved to bulldoze Mika’s house and take over the land. Ultimately, the house was indeed bulldozed but the Race’s were forced to keep paying the mortgage. As they investigated the takeover, a local scandal was revealed, and the Race’s filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the City of Pigeon Forge and its officials. Eminent domain gives the government the right to seize any land and property - residential or commercial - for its purposes. Initially limited in scope, the Supreme Court widened the governement’s ability to take over any property in a controversial landmark 2005 decision, Kelo v. New London.     Jimmy Kimmel’s under fire for a divisive lie he told on his Monday night show. That fact is undeniable. Now the country is in an uproar over Jimmy Kimmel being benched from his show. Is the government shutting down free speech? Or is Jimmy Kimmel’s firing a result of free market forces? I admit that I started preparing for this episode from a defensive position. I’m so sick of Democrats for showing such dark and evil responses to the murder of Charlie Kirk. Kimmel was just one of many. That stands - I’m horrified by anyone who celebrated or made fun of Charlie and his wife Erika. I’m disgusted by everyone who said things like “no one deserves to die but he was a horrible person and a racist and a fascist.” It’s just gross and disappointing. But the argument over whether or not Jimmy Kimmel’s cancellation poses a first amendment threat at first had me thinking that this was no rights infringement at all. It was, in my opinion, a simple case of the free market speaking - a business decision to nix Kimmel based on bad ratings and public backlash that would affect advertising revenue. After spending the day digging around, I still believe that this was a business decision. But I’ve also seen that there’s more to the story. I wouldn’t be honest if I didn’t take all of it into consideration. So tonight I’m gonna go through a timeline of events and bring up some facts that haven’t quite hit the social media arguments just yet.     Charlie Kirk’s vicious murder yesterday at Utah Valley University feels like an earthquake. The country is grief stricken, shocked, angry, and praying. On the opposite side there’s a shockingly large group of people enjoying a gruesome celebration of his death. Charlie was only 31 years old. He had a wife and two small children. He was above all a faithful Christian who lived his values. That’s what drove him. For all he accomplished in his young life, in a recent interview he was asked how he’d like to be remembered. He said for his faith. God above all. Charlie Kirk spoke the truth with humility and love. He was the best we had, and he didn’t deserve the ending he got. But this isn’t the end of Charlie’s legacy. By all indicators, this is just the beginning. Ephesians 5:11 tells us to “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.” Tonight that’s what we’ll do. There’s an avalanche of information coming at us, and we’ll go through as much as we can. My friends Chris Barrett and Kevin Hammer are here with me. Mack began his career with the Provo Police Department as a parking enforcement cadet while attending BYU. A couple of years later he became a full-time officer and was soon promoted to Corporal, Sergeant, and Detective. His most traumatic experience there was a one-year assignment as an undercover narcotics agent. After nearly 11 years at Provo PD, Mack decided to return to his childhood turf in Arizona and run for Graham County Sheriff. His campaign took off and he was elected in 1988. He was sheriff for two terms until 1997. He was named Elected Official of the Year by the Arizona-New Mexico Coalition of Counties in 1994, received the NRA Law Officer of the Year, inducted into the NRA Hall of Fame, 1995 Cicero Award, Samuel Adams Leadership Award from the Local Sovereignty Coalition, and Gun Owners of America Defender of the Second Amendment Award. During his tenure, federal officers informed the sheriffs of the state that they would be required to enforce the so-called “Brady Bill” and run background checks at their expense under the law. In 1994, Mack and six other sheriffs from across the country, challenged the constitutionality of the Brady Bill and ultimately, fought it all the way to the United States Supreme Court, where they won a monumental decision for freedom. Three years later, in a landmark 5-4 split decision based on the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, Mack won his case. A graduate of the FBI National Academy, some of Mack’s positions include: patrol officer, undercover narcotics officer, hostage negotiator, youth officer, school resource officer, communications supervisor, corporal, front desk sergeant, detective, sheriff, Search and Rescue supervisor, jail administrator, and DARE instructor. Mack has been a consultant on numerous cases regarding police abuse, brutality, and other misconduct by public officials. He has joined with other members of the law enforcement community to speak out in favor of drug policy reform. A graduate of Brigham Young University, Mack now lives with his wife near the Phoenix, AZ area. During the past two years Sheriff Mack has been a speaker at more than 70 different Tea Party rallies all across the country, ranging all the way from Honolulu to Bangor, Maine.     The question of the day - is transgender violence an epidemic? Yesterday a man who dresses like a woman killed a 57-year-old father in a picturesque town called Shrewsbury, Massachuetts. Two days ago a different man who thinks he’s a woman opened fire on a school full of children during their back to school church service. You may remember Audrey Hale, who thought she was a man, who killed 3 children and 3 adults at the Covenant School in Nashville back in 2023. Or “Lucy Grace Nelson” who was hurling molotov cocktails and vandalizing Tesla dealerships. (Hint: real name wasn’t Lucy). How about Anderson Lee Aldrich, who killed 5 people at a Colorado nightclub in 2022 - non-binary. This is by no means an exhaustive list - but you get the point. Tonight I’m going to be joined by my friends Chris Barrett and Kevin Hammer.
