    • 10 Life Lessons I Learned from a C-Suite Executive
      Apr 10 2023
This one is super short + simple — I was so lucky to have one of our execs in a fireside chat and I thought I'd distill and share the advice she gave, because we don't gatekeep helpful things here.
      1. It’s never too late to make a shift in your career.
      2. Prioritize yourself & take time off when needed.
      3. It’s hard to make good decisions when you’re tired & burnt out.
      4. Be intentional about what you say yes to.
      5. Be ruthless with your schedule.
      6. Learn as much as you can; don’t be afraid to move companies or even roles, especially in the startup world, after 2-5 years.
      7. Don’t be busy for the sake of being busy.
      8. Don’t be afraid to Google what you don’t know.
      9. You could keep working later at night but that doesn’t mean you should - also think about how it makes someone feel to receive communication from you at a later hour.
      10. Take time every day to move your body.

I'm so excited to welcome Claudette back to the podcast. A lot's changed since our first chat (you can listen on Spotify here or Apple Podcasts here), including Claudette's 30th birthday, her Saturn return, and her leaving her PR job to work in fitness full-time at West Village Athletic (WVA) as their Head Coach and Customer Success Manager.

      We chat through:
      • What to look for when you make any big transition in life
      • Important considerations when thinking about leaving your full-time job
      • Tips for anyone looking to get started in a career in fitness (full or part-time)
      • Dating in NYC (of course!)
      • Timing and alignment with your purpose
      • Finding friendship in the fitness community in NYC
