This broadcast of Tamil in Melbourne on SYN tackles the hidden weight of immigrant guilt and the unspoken pressures of diaspora life. We unpack the quiet rule that because our parents sacrificed to build a life from scratch, our generation isn't allowed to feel exhausted, anxious, or burnt out.

• The Validation Burden: The clash between our parents' survival mindset and our pursuit of fulfillment, and how to stop using their resilience to invalidate our own burnout.

• Reputation & Secrecy: Breaking down the "Oor Enna Sollum?" (what will people say) mentality, the exhaustion of the "trophy child" syndrome, and surviving competitive family function interrogations.

• Respect vs. Obedience: Why gaining personal independence or setting a simple boundary often feels like a betrayal to the family unit, and how to break those generational cycles.

• Practical Healing: Navigating conversations about mental health and therapy with traditional parents, finding judgment-free support systems outside the house, and daily habits to protect your peace.
