  • Trailer - The 70's Project
    Jul 23 2024

Welcome to The 70s Project podcast. We are Joe and Maurizio. What are we all about? Well the 70s project is all about those who are 70 years young and who became adults during the 70s now we are retired and have lots of time to be who we are, we are coming from the most southern part of Europe retiring here has been a challenge, a dream which has become a reality. Now that we are no longer tied to many responsibilities we have the time to fulfill many projects to be a part of being active and productive, even after what retirement is directed towards one of our projects began a few years back, when we bought a piece of land with a small house on it, we call it our countryside paradise. The best part is that we are getting back to nature. We are living partly off the land with a large garden which has produced some vegetables and fruit trees, we have a lot of olive trees, lemon trees and a couple of orange trees, also let's see a few pomegranate trees which are just starting to bloom and produce some fruit. Living in the country has allowed us to have all the animals that we want. We have 7 dogs ( six of which are French bulldogs ) 2 stray cats and 2 chickens that give us two eggs every day which is more than we need. The best part of being here in the countryside is the tranquility of waking up in the morning and being almost in silence maybe just the buzz of some birds or bees and it's a great feeling to not having to be anywhere at any specific time which is one of the greatest parts of retirement, not meaning that you have to sit on your back side doing nothing there's always something to do. Our perspective has been to not only retire here but to be able to enjoy the simple things in life building a new life with a different perspective, a different direction and keeping ourselves active, making the best of what comes along.
