    There’s no question UC Berkeley is the flagship university in the greatest state in the union. And we firmly believe that we should be a great academic institution AND have a powerhouse athletic program. There’s no reason we can’t expect excellence both academically and athletically.

    So who are we?

    Well, Ahmad Anderson is the Hall of Fame Cal footballplayer who created “Bear Territory.” He was defensive captain in the 1982 Big Game, sits on the Board of Directors of the Cal Alumni Association, and is running for Mayor Richmond.

    And my name is Reza Sirafinejad. I’m a Cal grad who wasborn in Berkeley. And in the early ‘90s, long before the Calgorithm, I’m the guy who first started connecting Cal fans online with the GoBears Sports Information Network. I’ve worked as a volunteer behind the scenes with the football and basketball programs since I was a student.

    If you’re like me, you watch the news each night waitingfor the sports report, and hope that the broadcasters say something about Cal. And IF they have anything to say, it lasts no more than maybe 30 seconds. So what did we do? We created this podcast that’s all about Cal, all day, every day.
