Moses is one of the most recognizable figures in Scripture, but his story is far more raw and human than most portrayals suggest. The Hebrew people ended up in Egypt through the journey of Joseph, and over time they went from honored guests to enslaved laborers. God heard their cries and raised up Moses as a deliverer, despite Moses being deeply flawed and full of excuses. Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt through miraculous acts of God, yet he never entered the Promised Land himself. His life is a powerful reminder that God does not call the perfect. He calls the willing, corrects them along the way, and uses them for purposes far greater than they could accomplish on their own. Grace does not excuse who we have been, but it refuses to leave us there.
