Today on Point 01, Aaron Cohen sits down with Steven Berkenfeld, founder of Ecotopia Consulting. Steven is a lifelong climate advocate and member of organizations such as the Sierra Club; however, he spent much of his career working with Lehman Brothers. During the fallout from the 2008 financial crisis, Steven came to reflect on the state of climate and business. He decided to channel his powers into galvanizing the cleantech movement into a position to change the world. In this conversation, Aaron and Steven talk about how close the world came to an economic abyss in 2008, how the great recession sowed the seeds for the current sustainable business movement, and why he feels consuming dystopian sci-fi is a great way to combat complacency in climate change.
