  • Buildings on Reuniting, Influences, Lyrics of the Past, and Making New Music
    Jan 26 2026

I interviewed Brian from the noise rock band Buildings. Buildings originally broke up in 2020 in the midst of the beginning of the pandemic lockdown. We met last year through a mutual friend, and I was fortunate to get to see Buildings play in Portland, Oregon, at that time. It was in November. I recorded two sessions with Brian because the first session focused more on influences and how the band got back together. In the second session, we get into the discography of Buildings, how they operated as a band, and what their future may hold.
