  • Ep. 27 - Talkin' Quarrels Of Opinions
    Sep 21 2026

Send Us Your Questions & Comments

Small Group dives into Romans 14 (and 1 Corinthians 8) to explore how believers should handle disagreements, personal convictions, and differences of opinion within the church. The group reads through Romans 14, discussing Paul's counter-intuitive call for grace over judgment, and examining why the church must function as a "hospital" rather than a courtroom. The conversation highlights the fine line between offering a gentle, biblical reproof to a brother or sister and falling into self-righteousness, pride, or intellectual snobbery. The episode wraps up with a practical look at how to maintain unity, avoid becoming a stumbling block to others, and lovingly navigate gray areas and personal convictions within Christian community.

  • Ep. 26 - Talkin' Traditions
    Sep 14 2026

Send Us Your Questions & Comments

In this episode, Small Group dives into Scripture to explore the friction between human traditions and genuine faith, focusing primarily on the Gospel of Mark. They begin by examining Jesus's return to His hometown of Nazareth in Mark 6, and discussing why hometown familiarity can breed doubt. They unpack Jesus's confrontation with the Pharisees over rituals, superficial religion, and the danger of becoming spiritual "actors" in Mark 7. The conversation rounds out with a thoughtful look at personal and corporate traditions—from holidays like Christmas to regular communion—emphasizing that while traditions have value, posture and daily heart-devotion to God are what truly matter.

  • Ep. 25 - Talkin' Newness
    Sep 7 2026

Send Us Your Questions & Comments

The group tackles the hypothetical question: If you could witness one miracle from Jesus in person, which would you choose and why? Prompted by the back-to-school season, Sabrina explores what "newness" evokes—balancing feelings of anxiety, the mundanity of routine, and the hope and excitement of a fresh start. The core of the episode focuses on Paul’s message in Colossians about setting minds on things above, dying to the old self, and clothing oneself in compassion, humility, and love. The group discusses the active, lifelong process of confronting sin and letting Christ be the center of our identity.
