 Balancing mental wellness in a physically and emotionally demanding artistic ballet environment This week, I had the pleasure of an incredibly engaging conversation with the Eugene Ballet Company’s Sara Stockwell. Though I come from a Hip-Hop background and Sara from the world of professional Ballet, it didn’t take long to discover threads of connection between our worlds. We discussed the internal rhythm we as human beings possess, the nuances of her dance philosophy, upcoming Eugene Ballet performances, and how the art form of ballet has shaped a life and career for her while maintaining a healthy balance of mental wellbeing.
