    • She Speaks with Shara - Episode #17 - 2025 Wrap Up
      Jan 4 2026

I did not have starting a podcast, becoming a coach for women and quitting my job on my 2025 bingo card. But here we are and it has been a ride!!

February 18th, 2025 launched me into a completely different world, one where my healing really became public and transformative for me. I finally let my pain out into the light, in a space that presented itself in a seemingly random way. But as I have said over these many episodes now, maybe it was not random and maybe it was meant to present itself, to force me to step into the discomfort that comes with real growth. And doing so changed everything this year.

This episode was so meaningful, to record on the evening of 12-31-25 and be able to reflect on what the year held and what the lessons were that presented themselves. One of the overarching ones being, "Healing doesn't have to be alone."

Thank you all for joining me on this journey and here is to more in 2026!!!

    • She Speaks with Shara - Episode #16- An Interview with Not A Girl Ashley
      Dec 21 2025

In a rare twist, this episode features the producer of the show, Ashley, who wants it known he knows it is a girls name and also was not named after Gone With The Wind.

He has been a part of each episode so far, listening to the stories told and running the recording, while being deeply in awe at the stories shared and the resiliency of the women involved in this show. (He also took the cover art photo, which I still have a hard time embracing, for far too many reasons, none of them logical)

I asked him to share some insight into several different topics, but we mostly focused on the topic of domestic violence and what his experiences during his 20 plus years in law enforcement taught him. It is a heavy topic, but we hope we were able to bring some humanity to it, while respecting survivors of many different types.

It was our longest episode to date and we hope you enjoy it!!

    • She Speaks with Shara - Episode #15 - Are You Uncomfortable or Unsafe
      Dec 7 2025

The last decade has shown a drastic increase in mental health advocacy, acceptance of therapy and an online culture supporting healing and addressing trauma in all its forms. These are all excellent things and society is better for it.

But what if a small side effect of this is a growing mindset that anything unsavory that comes your way is unsafe? What if we are not actually at times building resiliency as a byproduct from the things that have shaped our lives, but using the new buzzwords of healing culture as a crutch and it is keeping us stuck?

This is an important discussion to have, about what the real difference is between something that feels uncomfortable to us and things that are genuinely unsafe. If we don't lean into the uncomfortable to help build a stronger version of ourselves, then we risk feeling unsafe from things that are inherently just simply unpleasant to the current version of us.
