Welcome to a very special episode as we celebrate the Christmas Season! Most of the team went to a performance that was put on in our community, called Behold the Lamb by Andrew Peterson. It follows the story of the Gospel from Creation to the Fall through the Prophets and into the Birth of Jesus. This week, we'll be discussing what stood out to us from the concert and what God spoke to us through it.

Thank you again for joining us for our special guest, Pastor Charlene, as she has been talking about heart surgery, forgiveness, and finally, what it looks like in recovery. When someone goes through heart surgery in the natural, there is a set list of guidelines and prescriptions that need to be followed to ensure a smooth recovery. It is the same with our spiritual walk and heart surgeries that we go through along the way. We must trust the Lord in those times, and do what He says in order to heal correctly. The Lord asks us to allow him to take things out of lives and hearts, but He doesn't leave us there alone to try to figure out our own way to healing. He is faithful to walk through those seasons with us!

For the next few weeks, we are going to be doing a very special series featuring some teachings from Pastor Charlene Boyd. We were privileged to have her speak for the Fall Women's Retreat and the word the Lord had her share was so powerful.

In the first session from this 3-part series, Pastor Charlene will be talking about five women from the Bible who had to go through heart surgery, and trust the Lord in the process. Each of our experiences and stories are unique, and when God takes us through those periods of growth or "knocking off hard edges" in our hearts, it can be very daunting. But we can always know that He is with us through the process.
