The party deals with the aftermath of Octavia accidentally transporting herself and the orc child Arlin to the celestial plane using mysterious opalescent orbs. While Arlin chooses to remain in Sellúne's paradise, Octavia is sent back to life with a new scar.

The party awakens Olad Freeye, a gnome who has been in stasis for eight years, and introduces him to the post-apocalyptic world. After gathering supplies and mourning Arlin's departure, they board their flying ship and head toward the volcanic islands to search for the fire orb needed for their quest to reach the Altar of Creation.

The party successfully opens the mysterious vault in the underground scientific bunker, discovering a suspended gnome named Olad Freeye and a treasure trove of powerful artifacts.

Echo forms a dangerous pact with an ancient entity inhabiting Primal Gauntlets (Primal Vestige), while Octavia accidentally activates a magical orb that transports herself and young Arlen to Sellúne's divine realm of Sellúne.

Though Octavia narrowly escapes death, Arlen chooses to remain in paradise, leaving the party to deal with the consequences of their discoveries.

The players summarize their discoveries in an underground scientific bunker, including encounters with Lazarus (the original Destiny's Hand leader), finding Nicholas Cogsworth's watch, solving vault puzzles, and Grico's adoption of an orc child named Arlin.
