      JESUS J.O.U.R.N.E.Y. With JESUS

Friends, this is by grace through faith. We believe today, that this is his invitation to us, as believers and followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe today, that as Jesus invited the disciples of John, and his disciples, and Cleopas, and many of the other disciples to follow him, in his journey here on earth, we today are also invited to follow Jesus.

And in this day, we begin this journey, from the book of Genesis, to the book of Revelation, friends, cordially invited, to follow Jesus, just as one of his apostles has written, that there were these 2 disciples of John the Baptist, they went on this journey looking for Jesus. And when they found Jesus. According to the gospels.

This is what is written about this amazing and remarkable invitation from the Lord Jesus Christ to these 2 disciples. friends. This is his story, is his invitation. Jesus good news gospel, written by John the Apostle.

John chapter one, beginning in verse 35. The next day, John was standing with 2 of his disciples. And he looked at Jesus, as Jesus walked by, and he said, behold, the lamb of God.

The 2 disciples, Heard him say this, and they followed Jesus. And Jesus then turned and saw the 2 disciples following. And Jesus asked them this question.

What are you seeking? And the 2 disciples said to Jesus, Rabbi, which means teacher, they asked Jesus this question, where are you staying? Jesus said to them, come and you will see.

So they came, and saw where Jesus was stand, and they stayed with him that day. For it was about the 10th hour. One of the 2 disciples who heard John speak and had followed Jesus was Andrew, Simon, Peter's brother.

He 1st found his own brother, Simon, and said to him, we have found the Messiah, which means Christ. Andrew brought his brother to Jesus. Jesus looked at Simon and said, you are Simon.

The son of John. You shall be called Cephas, which means Peter, friends, as members of the body of Christ. Today, in this year, this is where we begin our journey with Jesus.

This is by grace, through faith. We believe today. that we are cordially invited, to follow Jesus, in this context of the scriptures, in the reading and the hearing of these written conversations, his life changing us, a new life, his life, amen. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

      John 21:1

After this Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias, and he revealed himself in this way.

      John 21:2

Simon Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were there.

      John 21:3

      Simon Peter said to them,

      “I am going fishing.”

      They said to him,

      “We will go with you.”

They went out and got into the boat,

but that night they caught nothing.

      John 21:4

Just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.

      John 21:5

      Jesus said to them,

“Children, do you have any fish?”

      They answered him, “No.”

      John 21:6

      He said to them,

      “Cast the net

on the right side of the boat,

      and you will find some.”

      So they cast

their net on the right side,

      and now

they were not able to haul it in,

because of the quantity of fish.

      John 21:7

      That disciple

      whom Jesus loved

      therefore said to Peter,

      “It is the Lord!”

      When

Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord,

he put on his outer garment,

Because, Peter, was Dressed for work,

Peter, threw himself into the sea.

      John 21:8

The other disciples came in the boat,

dragging the net full of fish,

for they were not far from the land,

They Were about a hundred yards land.

      John 21:9

¶ When they got out on land,

they saw a charcoal fire in place,

with fish laid out on it, and With bread.

      John 21:10

      Jesus said to them,

      “Bring some of the fish

      that you have just caught.”

      John 21:11

      So Simon Peter

went aboard and hauled the net ashore,

full of large fish, 153 of them.

      And although

there were so many, the net was not torn.

      John 21:12

      Jesus said to them,

      “Gather together and have breakfast.”

Now none of the disciples dared ask him,

      “Who are you?”

They knew it was the Lord.

      John 21:13

      Jesus came and

      took the bread

and gave it to them, and so with the fish.

      John 21:14

      This was now

      the third time

      that Jesus

      was revealed

      to the disciples

after he was raised from the dead.

JESUS PRAYING For Them And For Us Today

      John 17:1

When Jesus had spoken these words,

      HE

lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father,

      the hour has come;

      glorify your Son

that the Son may glorify you,

      John 17:2

since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him.

      John 17:3

And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

      John 17:4

      I glorified you on earth,

having accomplished the work that you gave me to do.

      John 17:5

And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.

      John 17:6

“I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world.

Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.

      John 17:7

Now they know that everything that you have given me is from you.

      John 17:8

      For I have given them

      the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you;

and they have believed that you sent me.

      John 17:9

      I am praying for them.

I am not praying for the world

but for those whom you have given me,

      for they are yours.

      John 17:10

      All mine are yours,

      and yours are mine,

and I am glorified in them.

      John 17:11

And I am no longer in the world,

but they are in the world, and

      I am coming to you.

      Holy Father,

      keep them in your name,

      which you have given me,

      that they may be one,

      even as we are one.

      John 17:12

      While I was with them,

I kept them in your name,

      which you have given me.

      I have guarded them,

and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction,

that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

      John 17:13

But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

      John 17:14

I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

      John 17:15

I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one.

      John 17:16

They are not of the world,

just as I am not of the world.

      John 17:17

      Sanctify them

in the truth; your word is truth.

      John 17:18

As you sent me into the world,

so I have sent them into the world.

      John 17:19

And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.

      John 17:20

“I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word,

      John 17:21

that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you,

that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

      John 17:22
