À propos de ce contenu audio

If you have hyperthyroidism (Graves' disease, toxic multinodular goiter, etc.) or Hashimoto's thyroiditis and are looking to do everything to save your thyroid gland, then the Save My Thyroid podcast is for you! Dr. Eric Osansky DC, IFMCP is the host, as he personally was diagnosed with Graves' disease in 2008 and was able to get into remission taking a natural approach. He created this podcast to help others with hyperthyroidism and Hashimoto's save their thyroid and regain their health. If you have hyperthyroidism then pretty much all of the episodes will benefit you, and if you have Hashimoto's you'll benefit from most of the guest expert episodes, as well as some of the "solo" episodes. The reason there is more of a focus on hyperthyroidism is because all of the other thyroid-related podcasts focus mostly on hypothyroidism/Hashimoto's, and since Dr. Eric personally dealt with Graves' disease he wanted this podcast to focus more on hyperthyroidism, although it will still offer plenty of value to those with hypothyroidism/Hashimoto's. Dr. Eric Osansky lives in Matthews NC with his wife, 2 daughters, 3 cats, 2 dogs, and 3 guinea pigs! He has been a practitioner for 20+ years, and has focused on helping people with thyroid and autoimmune thyroid conditions since 2009.

    Apr 21 2026

In this episode, Dr. Eric chats with certified health coach and functional trainer Vilmos Bond to explore how exercise needs evolve—especially for women over 40 navigating perimenopause and menopause. Drawing from over a decade of experience, Vilmos shares how his approach to functional training goes beyond aesthetics, focusing instead on strength, mobility, and longevity.

The conversation dives into common exercise mistakes, including sticking to repetitive routines, lifting too heavy too soon, and neglecting proper form. Vilmos explains how hormonal shifts impact recovery, cortisol levels, and energy, making it essential to adjust workout intensity and frequency. They also discuss the importance of resistance training for bone density, the pros and cons of high-intensity workouts, and how nutrition and meal timing play a role in overall performance and health.

  • Functional Medicine Testing for Graves’ Disease & Hashimoto’s
    Apr 14 2026

In this episode, Dr. Eric Osansky breaks down the role of functional medicine testing for those dealing with Graves’ disease, Hashimoto’s, and other thyroid conditions. While conventional lab work can help diagnose thyroid disorders, it often falls short in uncovering the root causes behind autoimmunity. Dr. Eric shares his clinical perspective on how deeper testing can help identify underlying triggers and imbalances.

Throughout the episode, he walks through the most commonly recommended tests, including adrenal panels, hormone testing, gut health assessments, and environmental toxin evaluations. He explains when each test may be helpful, the limitations of certain testing methods, and why more testing isn’t always better. Dr. Eric also addresses controversial topics like leaky gut testing, food sensitivity panels, and the balance between testing and foundational lifestyle changes.

If you want a clearer, more balanced understanding of functional medicine testing for thyroid conditions—and how to approach it without overwhelm—you’ll get a lot out of this episode.

  • Conquering SIBO and Post Infectious IBS with Lindsey Parsons
    Apr 7 2026

In this episode, Dr. Eric sits down with gut health expert Lindsey Parsons to explore the deeper root causes behind SIBO—especially post-infectious IBS. Lindsey shares her personal journey from food poisoning to chronic gut issues and autoimmune conditions, eventually leading her to specialize in helping others heal complex digestive disorders.

They dive into what really drives recurrent SIBO, explaining how an autoimmune response triggered by food poisoning can damage the migrating motor complex, leading to ongoing bacterial overgrowth. Lindsey breaks down the differences between hydrogen and methane SIBO, the role of fungal overgrowth (SIFO), and why many traditional approaches fail to provide lasting results. The conversation also covers testing options like the IBS Smart test, limitations of breath testing, and how to better assess the gut microbiome.

You’ll also learn about effective treatment strategies, including when to use antibiotics versus herbal antimicrobials, the emerging use of MSM, the controversy around berberine, and the critical role of prokinetics in long-term management. If you want a clearer, more balanced understanding of why SIBO keeps coming back and how to manage it effectively, you’ll get a lot out of this episode.
