Sport is a huge part of our society, athletes are some of the highest paid people in the world with enormous amounts of following and the reason Sports have so much weight in the world is because of the fans. Sports fandom effects us all, either directly and indirectly. An outcome of a sporting performance can alter the emotions of millions. Supporting a team can become a family tradition. Sports fandom that can bring people together whilst also tearing others apart.
In this episode Tiffany and Luke discuss their participation in sports fandom, from how they decided on their teams and what following those teams means to them. They also touch on topics of what it is like to support an unpopular team, what makes someone a true fan, and whether or not it is acceptable to switch teams.
