SEEDS is an award-winning documentary that looks into the lives of southern Black generational farmers, who have farms that have been in their families for several generations. It shows the challenges of maintaining legacy and the value of land ownership. The film captures the significance of owning land, the fragility of a legacy, financial struggles, and systemic issues these families face in maintaining their land, which deserves to endure. Guests are SEEDS director Brittany Shyne, and producer Sabrina Schmidt Gordon. The film won the Sundance Film Festival 2025 Grand Jury Prize, Winner, U.S. Documentary.
