  • Episode 66 - The LORD Our Healer - Psalm 30:1-3
    Mar 3 2026

In this episode, we explore what the Bible really means when it calls God our Healer—Jehovah Rapha. While Scripture records powerful moments of physical healing, the greater miracle has always been spiritual. From Matthew 9, where Jesus forgave a paralytic before restoring his body, to Psalms 30, where David praised God for healing his soul after rebellion and judgment, we see that God’s goodness goes far beyond the physical. True healing is the mercy that forgives sin, restores relationships, and rescues the soul from condemnation. Join us as we examine how God’s greatest work isn’t just to fix our circumstances—but to redeem, restore, and re-equip us for His eternal purposes.

  • Episode 65 - Worshiping With Understanding - Psalm 29:3-11
    Feb 24 2026

True worship isn’t just singing—it’s responding to who God actually is. In this episode, we explore Psalm 29 to see how God’s Word reveals His power, His holiness, and why He alone is worthy of praise. When we understand His nature and His purposes, worship becomes surrender—not performance. And amazingly, the same Word that judges and shakes creation is the Word that strengthens and blesses His people with peace. That’s the beauty of holiness—and that’s who God is as our Refuge & Strength.

  • Episode 64 - Giving To God - Psalm 29:1-2
    Feb 17 2026

A Biblical reflection on humility and stewardship, exploring how David understood God as YAHWEH – the eternally self-existing and self-sustaining source of all things. This episode unpacks Psalm 29 to reveal this timeless truth: everything we have comes from God. A reminder that our role as stewards – not owners – should lead us to true worship expressed through humble surrender and holy obedience, and the practical steps we can take to use our influence, resources, and life itself to glorify God with joy and satisfaction.

  • Episode 63 - When God Answers Prayer - Psalm 28:1-9
    Dec 2 2025

Some people say that God answers every prayer, either by saying “yes,” “no,” or “wait.” Is that true, and if so, to what extent? What does it really look like in everyday life when God answers prayer the way we hope? We don’t have to guess. There are times when God answers prayer powerfully and clearly. Does our pursuit of God in prayer reflect faith in this truth, and how should we respond when God answers? These are the questions we'll tackle in this episode, which is why I’ve titled it “When God Answers Prayer.” Our study of Psalm 28 will provide us with clear insights into what it actually looks like when God responds and what our response should be.

  • Episode 62 - Waiting On The LORD - Psalm 27:5-14
    Nov 25 2025

On this episode of Refuge & Strength, we’ll discuss the challenge of understanding and practicing Biblical patience, especially when we’re expecting the LORD to respond to our needs. That’s why we’ve titled this episode “Waiting On The LORD.” That’s not always an easy thing to do. In fact, it’s not always clear how we are supposed to wait on the LORD either. Do we sit around doing nothing, hoping God will fix all our problems with a snap of His fingers, or is there more to it? We’re going to examine an example from Scripture so we can understand how to answer that question and apply it to our lives.

  • Episode 61 - One Desire - Psalm 27:1-4
    Nov 18 2025

Have you ever wondered why, as a Christian, the LORD doesn’t answer some of your prayers regarding certain desires? This episode should help us realign our desires to ensure we’re in sync with the things God longs to respond to. If we have this “one desire,” we’ll likely find that our walk with the LORD and our prayer life become much more fruitful, which is why this episode is called “One Desire.”

  • Episode 60 - The Influence Of God - Psalm 26:4-12
    Nov 11 2025

When God gets a hold of someone’s life through salvation, the scriptures show that there should be a profound impact. What does this impact look like? What truly happens when someone is “born again” through faith in Jesus Christ? This episode explores Psalm 26:4-12 to understand the true effect the Gospel has on the lives of genuine believers. This study acts as a helpful “spiritual check-up” on our faith, which is why I’ve titled this episode “The Influence of God.”

    Nov 4 2025

When people think of God as “the Judge,” it often carries negative connotations, and for understandable reasons. Even the Bible itself states that it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. However, as God’s children, should we be afraid of His authority and judgment? In this episode of Refuge & Strength, we break down Psalm 26:1-3 to see how God’s authority brings peace and comfort to those who believe. Tune in to learn how God shows mercy as “The One True Judge.”
