Asylum seekers of varying levels diligently work to overcome language barriers, a crucial step towards building a new life in the UK. Through the voices of students and volunteers, we learn about the challenges and triumphs of learning English as a means of integration and independence.

The episode culminates in the vibrant board games club, a testament to the resilience and camaraderie among the centre's visitors. Here, language barriers fall away as chess pieces move and Jenga blocks teeter. Ernie, a volunteer, shares how games have fostered connections and friendships, creating a supportive community for those far from home.
