À propos de ce contenu audio

"Re-tired" is the podcast where your hosts, Sue & Tina talk about what life is like when we put on new tread for new adventures. Retirement isn't always what we think it is. We'll explore what it means to re-tire. Like any good road trip, we'll have great company and a load of fun. "Re-tired" will host meaningful conversations with feminists about shifts in life. That could mean discussions about new job or careers, new identities, new starts, and more. In sharing, our hope, our drive, is to not only listen and hear, but to understand and empower ourselves and each other.Sue Britz Sciences sociales

  • Re-tired Ep. 118: What Teaching Taught Us
    Mar 6 2026

Tina and Sue reflect on what they learned during their teaching careers. They recognize that being a teacher helped them be better parents by building an awareness of the behaviors, attitudes, and learning styles they experienced with their students and families. Teaching also gave them insights into who they are, forming boundaries, and adopting helpful habits. Sending teachers in the field, on the front lines today all their best hopes and wishes.

    Feb 27 2026

Sue shares her experience with a common "rite of passage" that many re-tired people experience -- cataract surgery. The gals discuss, with the hope to quell any unease that folks might have about the procedure. You can "see" why it's an enlightening rite of passage.
