Join us as we delve into the profound thoughts of Proclus, the renowned Platonic philosopher, through his influential work, The Six Books of Proclus on the Theology of Plato (Greek ΠΕΡΙ ΤΗΣ ΚΑΤΑ ΠΛΑΤΩΝΑ ΘΕΟΛΟΓΙΑΣ; Latin Theologia Platonica). This translation by Thomas Taylor not only includes a valuable seventh book that fills the gaps left by Proclus but also offers insights that resonate deeply with contemporary philosophical discourse. The 1995 Prometheus Trust edition presents an engaging structure, where Book 3, Chapter 1 unveils the initial four chapters of Greek text, seamlessly transitioning through Chapters 5-6 and 7-8. From Chapter 9 onward, the translation aligns beautifully with the original. Moreover, a poignant quote from Proclus adorns the cover of Harmonices Mundi Liber I, a work that coincides with a tumultuous time in Johannes Keplers life as he navigated accusations against his mother. Discover this rich philosophical tapestry through the lens of Geoffrey Edwards.Copyright Assorted Non Fiction Philosophie Sciences sociales Spiritualité
