Described as the world's leading anti-pornography scholar and activist, she is founder and president of Culture Reframed, created to address pornography as a public-health crisis. Dines is co-author of Pornography: The Production and Consumption of Inequality (1997) and author of Pornland: How Porn Has Hijacked Our Sexuality (2010), now translated into five languages.

Prostituted women are, 24 hours a day, below their pimp, they could at any moment be murdered, beaten up. You name other job descriptions where that happens.”
