Our very special guest today is the one and only ICON, Octavia Spencer. An acclaimed American actress across film and television, as well as an author, voice actor and producer, she is perhaps best known for her Academy Award-winning supporting performance as Minny Jackson in the 2011 drama The Help. We are delighted to talk to her about her most recent project Ride or Die; a kick-arse series on Prime Video co-starring friend of the pod Hannah Waddingham. In our chat, we cover what a real-life ride or die looks like. It’s a lovely answer, and it’ll make you want to text your best friend. And the big one: why the show hasn’t been renewed, whether there’s hope for season two, and whether it could live on as a film.
