Deborah Mailman returns to Popcorn Podcast to talk her latest collaboration with Warwick Thornton, Wolfram. Inspired by the family stories of Warwick Thornton and writer David Tranter and set against the backdrop of the 1930s colonial frontier, Wolfram is a taut frontier western where Aboriginal child labourers in the wolfram (tungsten) mines confront colonial brutality and injustice. We welcome two brilliant Australian artists on Popcorn Podcast to talk their new Australian film, Beast. Director Tyler Atkins is an Australian filmmaker known for crafting emotionally resonant narratives and Logie Award Winning Australian actor Daniel MacPherson. Beast follows a once-feared MMA champion (Daniel MacPherson) being pulled back in for the fight of his life when his younger brother is put in danger.
