• Anime news gets a bit interesting this week as Rumiko Takahashi, the mangaka best known for old school hits such as Ranma ½ and Inuyasha gets knighted! We go over some of her popular works and offer her our congratulations!

• Scott Pilgrim returns with a TV anime featuring the original movie VA cast! How interesting! 

• Attention 90s kids! In current events we discuss the Power Rangers once and always special that has been released! Potential spoilers ahead, stay tuned to hear our opinion on the series.

• In gaming, we go over some heavy hitting releases as we take a look at Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, and the Resident Evil 4 Remake. A couple of us here have some experiences with these franchises and we can’t wait to see what’s in store.

• The Lord of the Rings trilogy is a staple of modern-day media that a lot of people turn to for comfort, debate, and even scrutiny. Today, we take a look at the series and discuss some popular points in the kingdom of fantasy and magic.

This week:

• We’ve gotten some info recently about the new story in Nickelodeon’s Avatar series! In 2025, we’ll hopefully be seeing the Avatar after Korra at work in an all new series. After the run Korra had as Avatar, we’re looking forward to what’s to come.

• There’s also a certain live-action film that’s recently been picked up by Netflix and we have some info on that as well. I’ll give you a hint: it’s from the director of the John Wick movies.

• In current events this week, a beloved franchise and a staple of pop culture media has fans up in arms. The late Jason David Frank did not participate in the 30th anniversary episode of the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers and fans are wondering why. We take a look at the situation to find out reasons this decision may have been made. 

• …and, this week’s roundtable discussion is about the traditions some families follow going into the New Year. What are some New Year’s traditions you and your family take part in?
