Instead, it has focused mostly on how great a result it was for Democrats, with the only perspective being how badly it was supposed to go. We dive into the basics and founding of the Roman Republic and what it teaches us about Republics as a whole, including America. We start at the beginning of Rome and examine why and how the Republic was founded, the basics of their government, and the troubles of the early years. We talk about the significance of the establishment of the mos maiorum and the way class struggles defined the early Republic. We also examine how similar the early American Republic was to Rome and extrapolate the larger lessons of Republican governments and apply them to today.
