À propos de ce contenu audio

“Talent is Cheaper than Table Salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.” -Stephen KingUpon learning this quote, Table Salt became my symbolic reminder to keep up the hard work. This developed into Pink Salt: the hard work that goes into successful relationships. The idea for this Podcast was born from my innate curiosity about intimacy and relationships, and I wanted include the spectrum of relationships: intimate, but also familial, professional, even individual relationships to finances, food, faith, you name it. The relationships that take up space in our lives are endless, yet many of us feel societally imposed taboo when those relationships get difficult and maybe need some elbow grease. Pink Salt reminds us to have grace for the people and things around us when things don’t go as easily as we pictured. Let’s get to work! • David Suarez | STAND IN FAITH Pt. 4
      Apr 25 2022

This episode marks the end of the faith series with David Suarez. We finally breach the topic of evolution - macro and micro - and how it relates to the christian argument against sex trafficking. Additionally, we discuss the question of instructions and direction of cells which brought us somewhere I did not expect: purpose vs. direction. Where so we find purpose? Is this a trendy word in modern culture that's getting conveniently conflated with direction? Though David's resolve is controversial, there might be more freedom within it to be curious and more security to move with less resistance where life takes you. From there we take it to consenting sex play and objectification, and why it's important for that consent to be honest. We end this series with some self reflection. Thank you, David, for an amazing four weeks!

    • David Suarez | STAND IN FAITH Pt. 3
      Apr 18 2022

David is back for the third episode in his faith series, and we clearly need more than four episodes. You can hear me working out a lot of ideas and opinions and thoughts in this episode. That means we didn't really even scratch the surface of the topics we were supposed to get to.  We get into why sex trafficking is the strongest argument against non-monogamy as per other world view systems, moral development in relationship to holy books, and the paradox of meditation apps. I love when David says “I reject that.” This will surely be integrated into my daily vernacular. #biggesttakeaway

    • David Suarez | STAND IN FAITH Pt. 2
      Apr 11 2022

In part two of our faith discussion, David and I got through so many topics and tangents. We start off at physics and apologetics - the argument that changed his career trajectory. From there we get into the paradoxes of the universe, the point of life, and the connection goodness has to pain, grief and suffering. Of God, David says, "He's not lonely. He makes creation because he wants to share the beauty of his creation with his creation." Such a quotable guy!
