Childhood best friends Joey and Claire thought they had their entire lives mapped out, one last summer of care-free traveling before Joey heads to university in Scotland and Claire begins a high-flying publishing internship in London. But their "perfect" future vanishes overnight when a careless one-night stand together results in an unexpected pregnancy.

As their travel plans crumble, Joey makes the decision he still has to go travelling, claiming he needs to collect "memories" to tell their future child.

Meanwhile, poor Claire is left at home alone with only her mum for company, mourning the career she hasn't even started yet and feeling shackled to motherhood before she’s even out of her teens.

Adding their two penny's worth are their mum's, Joey’s blunt, no-nonsense mum, Sue, and Claire’s status-obsessed, aspirational mother, June.

Now hit with the reality that a baby is on the way, Joey and Claire must navigate the transition from teenagers to parents. If "Loves Young Dream" is to survive, they’ll have to stop mourning the lives they planned and start facing the one they’ve created.
