“I think journalism is a great way to do public service, to have an impact on your community.”

      ~ Bob Schieffer

Normally you would see Scott Michlin interviewing our community members, but today the roles are reversed. Join Jamie and Addie as they talk to Scott about his many years of public service through broadcast journalism and sharing his talents at fundraising events from Dancing with the Farmington Stars to the Mayor’s Ball.

    • Over a Cup of Coffee: Guardian Initiatives 2023
      Mar 10 2023

Team Guardian spent 51 days rowing 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean bringing awareness to first responder suicide. First responders are more likely to die by suicide rather than in the line of duty. Police officers have the third highest suicide rate among occupations and firefighters are 1.39 times more likely to die by suicide compared to the public.

Regardless of your occupation or place in life, a variety of mental health conditions can lead to suicide. Join us with our guests, Mark Pfetzer and Jarrod Slindee from Guardian Initiatives as we discuss this important topic to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness.
