      Welcome to our Learning Space, Our Special Space. Today we are learning about Washing our Hands and the steps to help us learn and remember.

      Through Our Special Space we hope, through music therapy and the telling of social stories, to support parents in their daily routines and activities with their children with special and additional needs.

      Our Special Space is a show using music to tell social stories, explaining social situations to children with autism spectrum disorder or learning and intellectual disorders. Social stories help children to understand and ready themselves for situations they are unfamiliar or uncomfortable with, like going to the dentist or hairdresser. Although Our Special Space is geared towards children with diverse needs, we welcome total inclusion understanding that the program will also benefit all children developmentally.
