Tom breaks down the tent’s unbelievable origin story, the half-a-million-dollar headache of bringing it back to life, and how a last-minute $100K crowdfund, a mountain of steel and mirrors, and a village of dedicated locals, team members and artists made the impossible happen.

We dive into what fringe culture really does for a community, the reality of building a festival from scratch when you’ve got more passion than money, and the Bay Pride saga where religious bigots tried to shut the event down with illegal flyers and a coordinated smear campaign.
