À propos de ce contenu audio

Hi, I'm Rosie, an artist, educator, and lifelong fairytale fiend. From a very young age I've been hooked on stories- some of my earliest memories are of walking with my grandfather and listening to him spin the most incredible yarns- it was pure magic. Since then I've studied literature, theater, art and illustration in hopes of becoming a better storyteller. Every person who tells a story puts their own spin on it- do you remember learning the difference between Disney's Cinderella and the version by the Brother's Grimm? When my grandfather left me his collection of fairytales and fables it seemed like a good time to revisit those familiar stories as they were recorded. As he shared them with me, I will share them with you- starting with some classic collections and seeing where the journey takes us. This way lies adventure.2024 Art Roman et littérature

    Summary

Little Two-Eyes is mistreated and hated by her mother and sisters. One day, when taking her goat to pasture, a wise woman teaches her a chant that provides her with a wonderful meal each time it is recited.

Suspicious that Little Two-Eyes no longer eats the scraps provided, her mother sends her sisters out to spy. When they discover her secret the mother puts an immediate stop to it and kills the goat.

The wise woman appears again, and advises Little Two-Eyes to bury the goat's heart. She does, and a beautiful apple tree, (which can only be picked by Little Two-Eyes,) grows in its place, and ultimately leads to her salvation.

    Summary

After King Gridelin neglects to invite any fairies to his daughter's christening, his wife disappears, leaving him to raise his daughter, the languid and lazy Placida, and his nephew, the lively and active Vivien.

Unable to stay put for long, Vivien rides off one day, leaving the kingdom. Placida too leaves the kingdom with the help of the fairy Lolotte.

After much time apart, and many harrowing adventures, the two are reunited in a distant land. Eventually they each find their way back to the kingdom of King Gridelin, where they are married and rule together for many happy years.
