Constance Old is an Eco-Artist based in Connecticut spanning 2D graphic practices to 3D weaving and fiber based work utilizing 'consumer detritus', so mostly plastic. Her work calls attention to the vast surplus of packaging materials excreted by our current industrial landscape yet makes them beautiful and re-enlivened. Her recent work based in trash pick ups featuring knots of lobster trap ropes curated by the oceans vortex highlights the beauty of our natural systems and our complex relationship with them, ultimately calling to action environmental awareness.
