The challenge we face, isn't about choosing between being theologically sound, or culturally relevant—it's about holding both in tension. We need to be conservative in our theology while contemporary in our expression, understanding that the forms may change but the underlying meanings stay constant. Whether it's how we gather, how we worship, or how we reach our communities, we're called to discern what's essential from what's cultural. The most powerful insight here is that good theology requires holding multiple truths in tension—grace and truth, church and kingdom, divine and human. When we isolate one truth at the expense of others, we drift into imbalance. This calls us to remain rooted in Scripture, accountable to community, and open to the Spirit's leading as we navigate the beautiful complexity of living out our faith in an ever-changing world.
