Since then, her adventures—from rowing the Atlantic Ocean solo to running ultramarathons across the United States—have helped bring clean water to more than 50,000 people.

    Katie will launch on a 10,000-mile solo row across the Pacific Ocean—pushing for the record for the longest nonstop ocean row by a woman and aiming to become the first American woman to row the Pacific solo. This 10,000-mile world-record attempt is to help provide clean water to 100,000 people! She takes off in December from Lima, Peru!
