Two cynical mates, a failed music producer turned corporate and a producer who escaped teaching talk music, gigs, culture, and middle-aged nonsense from a recording studio. Nobody asked for their opinions. They're giving them anyway.Copyright 2026 NCWYT Music Social Sciences

  • My Kingdom For A Pub In The Garden
    16 Oct 2026

A first for Nobody Cares What You Think: a listener hill, sent in by voice note, people who build pubs in their back gardens are weird. Jamie and Richard take it apart, defend it, and decide whether a shed with optics is a midlife crisis in timber form. Keep the voice notes coming. The worse the hill, the better.

Richard has discovered Marquee TV and gone deep on Shakespeare, specifically Richard II and Richard III and everything around them. A man called Richard, watching plays called Richard, explaining them to Jamie. Jamie took the Shakespeare lesson in good spirit. Mostly.

Also this week: The Celebrity Traitors is back and Richard E Grant was picked as a Traitor and then just told everyone, which must have been a real headache for the producers. Jamie took Bella to the Derby Computer Museum and found the PlayStation 1 behind glass, which means he is now officially a museum exhibit. He’s started the new season of Slow Horses, is reading Robert Harris’s Imperium and failed to get Oasis tickets. And Jamie experienced the Watford Gap drink. That’s all we’ll say.

Plus: new photos, a new thumbnail on the way, and a video special coming to Instagram. They have faces for podcasts. They’re doing it anyway.

  • The One Where Jamie Was Hungover
    1 Oct 2026

Jamie arrived. Richard carried him. That's the episode.

In fairness, Jamie rallied. They tried Richard's green tea — Jamie was not a fan. They talked about the Invention festival in Derby, Richard's ongoing library decoration project, his discovery of a waygo, and his decision to do his own electrics which absolutely nobody asked him to do. Jamie recounts his Odysseus-style journey from the Netherlands back home. Richard shares his newfound joy of terrible rosé wine.

Richard's hill: people with oversized cars should not be parking in standard supermarket spaces. Jamie feels personally victimised and does not agree. The hill stands.

Also this week: Jamie describes his funeral dress code in some detail — there will be a door person. Richard has been reading The Chrysalids. Jamie loved the Grand Tour. They have a strange conversation about whether people can think in images. Richard bought Jamie a Tayto crisps tote bag and a Skyrim pillowcase as gifts, which says everything you need to know about Richard.

Finally: Jamie and Richard announce new shorts and discuss a potential video episode special. They have faces for podcasts. They know this.

  • Looking Back In Anger: At Currys
    17 Sep 2026

Jamie and Richard are back after the summer and they have things to say.

Richard travelled the length and breadth of the UK for various reasons and has the motorway service station opinions to prove it. Jamie went to AEW All In and lived his best life. Then Jamie watched the new Oasis film and has a review, how did it land, does it do justice to the mythology, and what does it say about our relationship with nostalgia and bands we grew up with?

Jamie's hill this week: the utterly abysmal process of buying anything from Currys. The experience is broken from start to finish and there is no excuse for it. Richard pushes back big time. Jamie is not moved.

Then they turn to gaming. Where is it right now, where is it going, and what does the subscription model actually mean for the future of how we play and what gets made? A proper conversation about something both of them care about.

    Good to have them back.
