À propos de ce contenu audio

Adeel Shamsi and Jono Hunter plunge into the madness of screenwriting with a vow to write a complete short film script in each episode. Backed by their extensive (and otherwise useless) movie knowledge, they stretch their improv skills to the limit and turn the randomized prompt (genre, theme, character arc, etc) into a rough first draft. Each script is then brought to life as a radio drama in that very same episode.

    • The Lie Detector (feat. Miguel Rivas)
      May 5 2025

Actor, Writer, Show Runner, and Nardwuar appreciator Miguel Rivas is on the pod and lies about his height so much that it inspires the prompt “Lie Detector”. The result needs to be heard to be fully understood but it's somewhere at the intersection of political thriller, moral conundrum, forbidden love…and a Nardwuar-like villain hell bent on telling the truth.

It’s a tale as old as time. You’re 16, raised staunchly religious by your satanist parents. Instead of spinning Beatles Records backwards like a good little demon, you played them forwards to hear secret messages about god and love. Oh yea, then you and your best friend got turned into ducks and were sacrificed at your first Bacchanal.

This week, actor, writer, and improviser Alex Tindal is on the show to help us tell a totally-normal story about a totally normal “Horrorbilly teen that meets a talking duck”.

We’ve all heard the rumours that Shakespeare had a ghost writer. The details are just a bit fuzzy. Actor and improviser Lance Oribello is on the show to help us bring things into focus for a “Shakespeare” prompt. Somehow, this evolves into the 17th century-Back to the Future-Dude Where’s My Car? crossover that no one asked for.
