We close our series on being linked and being LinkedIn with a question for every one of us: What part does God want you to play in His Church?

Starting in 1 Corinthians 12 and Mark 3, we look at what Scripture says plainly about God’s will, including giving thanks, renewing our minds, repenting, and making disciples as we go about ordinary days. We reflect on what God has done through New Vision Church this year, and we end with four commitments and a moment of linking our D rings together.

This week we’re continuing our look at connecting with God and with one another, in a message called The Missing Link. Could you be the link someone else is missing?

From Matthew 12, we see Jesus’ own family standing outside the crowd, and we’re reminded that following Him makes us part of the family of God.

We name three places a link can go missing:

• our relationship with Jesus
• the time we give Him
• the way we show up for the people around us.

We spend time in John 15 and 1 Corinthians 12, and Pastor George shares how a few people from church drove him to services every week when he was fourteen.

We start a new series at New Vision Church in Fayetteville, Georgia, called Linked. It begins with a question: what is the weakest link that keeps people from church, and could it be us?

Recent studies point to indifference. People don’t see a difference in our lives, so they don’t see why church would matter in theirs.

We talk about learning each other’s names, reaching across generations, and the banquet in Luke 14, where there is still room at the table. We end with a simple challenge: who can you invite, pray for, and connect with?

On Pastor Appreciation Day, we welcomed Pastor Ravi from Vijayawada, India, who leads a ministry called Work for Good. We’ve supported his work for the past couple of years, and it was good to have him with us in person. In this episode, he reflects on his ministry's progress and some of the difficulties they face in India.

On Pastor Appreciation Day, we welcomed Pastor Ravi from Vijayawada, India, who leads Work for Good, a ministry we’ve supported for the past couple of years. He shared five responsibilities the church has toward its pastors: to know them, honor them, love them, bring them joy, and pray for them.

Along the way, he spoke about double honor in 1 Timothy 5:17, Aaron and Hur holding up Moses’ hands, and why Jesus Christ, not the pastor, is the head of the church.

Sometimes we're so focused on getting to the other side of something that we miss what God is saying to us right now. This message is about the middle of the storm, the wait, the hard season, and four things God may be telling us there:

• follow your last command
• be patient and wait on the Lord
• keep reaching for him when we feel unseen
• trust His process, because fruit takes time.

We spend time with Peter in the boat, Abraham and Sarah, the woman in the crowd, and the second day of creation. The middle doesn't have to be a bad place. It's just a different message.

This week, during our worship service, Brandon shares a story about Rob and the twenty-some percussion instruments he brings everywhere. Rob told him the parable of the talents, which stuck with him: some were given a lot, some a little, and this is his gift, so he went all out.

We talk about how worship, our testimonies, and the people around us are all talents from the Lord. Even a short conversation, a smile, or a held door can leave a mark. We just need to listen to the Holy Spirit and let him use us.

After two weeks of sabbatical rest, Rose shares what God spoke to her through Psalm 46:10: "Be still and know that I am God."

In a season with a lot going on, she was tired and finding it hard to stop. She heard God say, "Let it go. Surrender it to me." In this message, she talks about what it means to surrender, why being still is part of it, and what it looks like to rest in Him, know Him, and lift Him up. The anxieties didn't all disappear, but it became easier because she knew where her strength was.
