    ABOUT ME

I was introduced to wrestling in 2001, seeing Chris Jericho and The Rock during the height of The Invasion storyline, which I didn't know was happening. Watching their performance on the microphone and in the ring hooked me onto the industry since. Since those days, I have watched WWF/E exclusively from 2001 to 2010. Growing up seeing the likes of Triple H, Randy Orton, John Cena, Hogan, Shawn Michaels, THE UNDERTAKER, and some phenomenal stories and storytelling be told.

Eventually, I learned of the defunct companies like ECW and WCW and got myself WWE 24/7 to witness the past and experience how different things were before I was born. Then I heard stuff like NWA without knowing what that was before I dug more into the wrestling INDUSTRY and discovered promotions like NWA, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Impact Wrestling, and Ring of Honor.

It was like being a kid again, finding more wrestling than ever and swept on the internet to places like Veoh, YT, and DailyMotion to find wrestling content, which was a blessing in disguise as my WWE-Exclusivity attention was wearing thin in 2009 as WWE was fully embracing the PG Era, which was far removed from the type of content I was more used to. While I did welcome the old, more insane days to return, It wouldn't either return or improve as the WWE's content in characters and consistency had taken a severe nose dive for me. I was grateful to find other promotions that could do what WWE no longer sought to produce.

Today, we have those promotions surging and new promotions such as All Elite Wrestling in a state where WWE is the monopoly but has created an inconsistent product and oversaturation with some diamond moments but not enough in the rest of the presentation to keep things going.

    • Roman Reigns’ Reign Endgame, ALL IN Wembley; WWE and UFC Deal Close Date | NRE Wrestleverse Podcast
      Aug 15 2023

After several months of an unexpected hiatus, NRE Wrestleverse Podcast is back, providing you with wrestling news and longer-form opinions on the industry, showcases its ninth episode with staggering news of AEW’s ALL IN event in Wembley breaking the fabled 80k tickets distributed to the seminal event, surpassing WWE’s SummerSlam ’92 event and well on its way to toppling WrestleMania 32’s legitimate attendance as opposed to the inflated number that was given by the company and we’re not counting the controversial Collision In Korea event.

We also learn regarding the Endgame of The Tribal Chief being reduced to ‘Whenever Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman feel like it.’ which understandably worries people when wrestlers, be it full or part-time, are given this type of creative booking power. WWE and UFC’s big close date for the merger in Endeavor is set to close in September, with cuts expected to occur, though what the full nature of what will that be shall be revealed after the deal is completed. Returns are expected, some good and bad, along with details in the fallout of SummerSlam ’23 and some other news. All this and more on NRE Wrestleverse Podcast!

      TRIOS MAIN EVENT!

CM Punk & AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) vs. BULLET CLUB GOLD (Jay White & Juice Robinson) & ROH World TV Champion Samoa Joe

After nine months after his injury at ALL OUT 2022, former 2-Time AEW World Champion CM Punk returns to All Elite Wrestling in the same venue where he first chose to step back into a wrestling ring. The United Center in Chicago, IL, will once again host Punk's arrival in AEW, this time a bit of a second coming if you will, and as part of a brand-new show under the AEW banner, no less! Plus, Punk will reunite with AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR for the first time in over a year to step back into competition. They proved pretty an influential trio in that Fabulous Forum debut in June 2022, and now they will have an opportunity to see if that magic was more than just a one-night stand when they face the threesome of Juice Robinson, "Switchblade" Jay White, and the ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe.

That third name there, the former ROH World Champion who happens to also be the longest reigning one in Ring of Honor history, his addition to this match adds a whole new historical wrinkle to the bout. See, in 2004, throughout three matches that the ROH faithful referred to as The Trilogy, Samoa Joe and CM Punk engaged in three absolute classics with that ROH World Championship at stake.

For the first time since 8/12/05, Samoa Joe and CM Punk will share the same ring. Factor in FTR teaming with Punk, the BULLET CLUB GOLD duo in the competition so close to FORBIDDEN DOOR 2023 when New Japan Pro Wrestling comes calling, and this premiere edition of COLLISION is loaded just on this match alone!

And then there is the great unknown of what CM Punk will have to say when a microphone is placed in his hand; he's already expressed that there's a great deal to get off his chest, and fans worldwide know that he has the potential to be explosive given his track record over the years! All that makes this a can't-miss offering from All Elite Wrestling on Saturday night on TNT!

      SINGLES MATCH

Andrade El Idolo vs. AEW World Trios Champion Buddy Matthews

Another man who returns to All Elite Wrestling for the first time since ALL OUT 2022 is Andrade El Idolo, last seen in the Casino Ladder Match won that night by MJF ahead of his AEW World Championship victory over Jon Moxley at FULL GEAR 2022. This Saturday night, in his first singles match since the 6/24/22 edition of RAMPAGE, Andrade will be in action against one-third of the AEW World Trios Champions, The House of Black's Buddy Matthews!

Now where one HoB member treads, it is likely there's at least one closer behind, so unless Andrade has his support system coming along for the ride, El Idolo best have eyes in the back of his head to look out for other House associates. With so much time off, the question is whether or not Andrade has remained in the peak physical condition he was operating when we last saw him or if he's slacked off during this time away from the spotlight? Can Buddy shut down this singles challenge, or will Andrade make his return to AEW triumphant? Tune in Saturday night to find out how it unfolds!

    • Double Or Nothing '23 | NRE The Wrestleverse
      Jun 6 2023
NRE The Wrestlverse's YouTube videos serve as bonus episodes, covering three matches at AEW's Double or Nothing '23!AEW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHMJF(c) vs. Darby Allin vs. “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry vs. “The Spanish God” Sammy GuevaraQuite some time ago, four young men were labeled the Pillars of All Elite Wrestling: Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Darby Allin, “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry, and Sammy Guevara. They were the four young talents looked upon as the future of AEW, the pillars supporting the house's infrastructure, the future champions of the company who would carry it into a bright future.Darby Allin was the first of the quartet to capture a championship in AEW, the TNT Title, on November 7, 2020; to date, he stands as a 2-Time holder of that title. Sammy Guevara was the next to capture a title, also the TNT Championship, and since his first victory on September 29, 2021, he has captured it three times. “Jungle Boy” would be the third champion of the pillars, claiming the AEW World Tag Team Championship on January 5, 2022, but he's yet to become a singles champion, a fact Jack Perry stated he aims to change in 2023.The history feeds this match; the journey all four men have taken to get to this point feeds this match; they've all gone through a great deal, personally and professionally, but only one has captured the ultimate prize. In fact, one man, Sammy Guevara, has never even challenged for the AEW World Championship during his AEW career. Getting a title match this Sunday will be a first for “The Spanish God,” but it could be an even bigger first if he, Sammy, or Darby can be the one with their hand raised at DoN '23.This Sunday night, four of AEW's homegrown competitors, men who fans have watched grow up before their very eyes over the last four years, will step inside the ring to vie for the richest prize in professional wrestling. Can he do it? Can MJF prove he is the strongest pillar of the four, or will one of his foes rise to the top of the pack and show why they are the dominant one?ANARCHY IN THE ARENA IIThe Elite (Adam Page, Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, & Nick Jackson) vs. The Blackpool Combat Club (Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley, & Wheeler Yuta)If you were witness to last year's Anarchy In The Arena spectacle, be it in person or watching on pay-per-view, then you have some understanding of just what this match entails. Chaos reigns supreme, violence goes down everywhere, and there is blood, a cornucopia of blood. Last year there was even some gasoline when Eddie Kingston seemed hellbent on burning...well...even his teammates if that's what it took to get the job done. There are some differences from last year, though; at DOUBLE OR NOTHING 2022, The Blackpool Combat Club was still in its infancy, having only come together in the aftermath of REVOLUTION 2022 three months prior, and they were far more on the side of the angels than they are today.Today, after fifteen months of training, fighting, and bleeding together, The BCC is a well-oiled machine of violence and suffering. They are as elite a unit as any other in AEW, choosing to make The Elite their focus of attack in recent months. The Young Bucks, specifically Matt Jackson, have suffered at the hands of Claudio, Yuta, Danielson, and Moxley. Kenny Omega has suffered at their hands and at the hands of Don Callis, who he thought of as family. “Hangman” Adam Page has also suffered under their violent tendencies; Jon Moxley decides he liked his old eye patch look so much he would inflict it on Page the same way Jericho inflicted it upon him.But there was an unexpected side-effect of The BCC's relentless brutality, which had been hoped for many times over the last several years but always seemed just out of reach for one reason or another. Perhaps there was too much baggage, or perhaps the bridge had been obliterated with all parties standing on it, whichever of the myriad of reasons there are to choose from, the bottom line was that it seemed The Elite would never mend fences. Maybe The Bucks and Hanger could co-exist, but it didn't seem possible that Page and Omega could ever find that again.Until they did, until the day Hangman strode out onto the stage, stood next to Kenny when he did it, and Omega handed him a weapon to head into battle with The Blackpool Combat Club. That moment told the story; it offered hope, much like it broke a heart several years ago when Hangman went to hand Kenny one of their tag titles, and he wasn't standing there to accept it. And then, when Hangman stood in that ring, made the Anarchy In The Arena challenge, and declared himself, Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson once more The Elite, it felt like their world was finally healing. The core of AEW, the foundation upon which it was constructed, the foundation that makes it possible for those Four Pillars to be built up, was finally whole once more and was ready for war!So that is what they will get tonight inside ...
