Now you might be wondering, when and how have I, as scientist, ever done project management? And how do I bring it from scientist to the corporate world? Very good questions. 

Project management is the use of specific knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to deliver something of value to people. The development of software for an improved business process, the construction of a building, the expansion of sales into a new geographic market, —these are all examples of projects.

You as  scientist or human being for that matter are constantly exposed to projects running around you. It is upto you to identify them and reflect on which role you enjoy playing in these projects. Based on that you will know if you are a project manager or not.
