That’s such a great term, “Move Forward.” Forward is the Wisconsin slogan after all, and I think that one of the things that’s hard-coded in our DNA is the need to progress, to move forward. Whether it’s advancing technology or improved standards of living or forming a more perfect union, we all want to improve our lives and once we’re where we want to be we all want to stay there. And in that area, there’s a lot of work to be done.

“Move Us Forward,” is a NEW podcast filled with commentary and guests and bold ideas that move us forward – all of us – toward a more sustainable and prosperous future.

And I want to ask for your support. I want your bold progressive ideas to help jumpstart the podcast with suggestions for timely topics that touch on three key areas: social and political sustainability, environmental sustainability, and economic sustainability. I want to fix our broken system for allocating power. I want to guarantee that those who win elections - Republicans or Democrats - get to govern and are accountable to us, the voters who give them power. I want to conserve our natural resources, protect our water, and be better stewards of the land. And I want to create an economy that focuses entirely on human wellbeing and prosperity without getting any bigger.

That’s what’s at the top of my list. But honestly I want to crowdsource ideas from all of us. I want your best and brightest and freshest ideas, not just mine – I want to know what you’re concerned about and I want to engage you in the process. Maybe you can pitch me story ideas. Maybe you can be a featured guest or maybe you know somebody in your circle with a great big bold idea to share.
