Good evening. Mississippi. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside and you might think someone fast-forwarded the calendar to May. We're sitting at 70 degrees right now, which was *also* our overnight low. The thermometer barely budged all night. We're running a solid 59 degrees warmer than usual for early March, flirting with record territory. In the next 24 hours. Here's how today plays out. Central Mississippi climbs to 81 degrees this afternoon under partly sunny skies. Head north and you'll find similar warmth — Northern Mississippi tops out at 80 degrees. Down along the Gulf Coast, a sea breeze keeps things a bit more reasonable, with highs near 73 degrees. Tonight, mostly cloudy skies settle in. Lows dip to around 64 degrees in the central region, 59 up north. And 62 along the coast. You may see some patchy fog develop after 10 P.M. Near the water, so take it slow if you're driving late. Tomorrow brings more of this early spring preview. Highs again hit 81 in Central Mississippi, 80 up north. And 73 at the coast. A gentle south breeze at 5 to 10 miles an hour keeps that warm, humid air flowing. Looking ahead. Enjoy the dry weather while it lasts. Thursday stays warm and quiet, but Friday marks a shift. Storm chances return, especially by the weekend. Saturday looks wet — showers and thunderstorms are likely statewide. That pattern lingers into early next week. One more note — tonight's full moon rises at sunset. With clear skies early, it will be a bright one. We're also gaining nearly two minutes of daylight each day now, with the spring equinox just two weeks away. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
