 On this episode, we talked about the first leg of our trip across the pond traveling to Madeira island and adventuring the coast of Portugal. The trip started out with a few travel mishaps but we eventually made it to Madeira island, where we tackled hikes to Pico Areeiro (highest point on Madeira) and Pico Rubio, relaxed on Sexial Beach and in the natural pools of Porto Moniz, explored the fanal forest, and took the Achadas Da Cruz cable car down to the isolated coastal village of Fajã da Quebrada Nova. We also talk about our time in mainland Portugal, where we spent some time in Lisbon and went to a Paramore and Taylor Swift concert before traveling the coastline. We began our coastal excursion to the town of Nazare which is famous for having the largest rideable waves in the world, which encouraged us to find our own waves further down the Portugal coastline (albeit our waves were far from large). We finished our time in Portugal traveling to the Bengali caves before flying out of Faro to Madrid.
