      In today's show, we are talking about how dancing can lift our mood, reduce our stress levels and improve our skin. So whether you are a dancing queen at weddings or if you daily dance around your kitchen, I wanted to explore the benefits of dancing, and I was so excited to speak with Kristin Sudeikis, who is an artistic director, choreographer, master teacher, dancer, producer and the founder of the epic Forward Space Dance Studio in New York City.


      Kristin's work has reached thousands around the globe, and she has proved how powerful dance can be, both for the mind, body and skin. The physical movements of dance have been shown to reduce levels of stress, anxiety and depression. Much like aerobic exercise, dance provides relief from stress and tension. So today I am speaking to Kristen about this amazing physical exercise which elevates our dopamine and endorphins to neurotransmitters responsible for feelings of pleasure and happiness, and why we should all be incorporating dance into our schedules every day.

      I am thrilled to be joined today by Professor Selena Bartlett. Professor Bartlett is a world renowned neuroscientist at the Queensland University of Technology. She is a widely published author and a commentator on addiction, obesity and changing mindset. She is also the host of the brilliant Thriving Minds podcast where she looks at neuroplasticity and how we can take advantage of our brilliant biology to thrive in life when we are faced with adversity.


      As we all know, stress can affect us both mentally and physically but can especially affect our skin. I was researching the impact of cold water therapy when I stumbled across Professor Bartlett’s article on cold showers and became so inspired to try it. While at first it’s a shock to the system, I felt so empowered once I did it. I wanted to speak to Professor Bartlett today to discuss the benefits cold water exposure can have on both our mind and skin.

In today’s episode, I am delighted to be talking to Florence Williams, who is a journalist, bestselling author, podcaster and a contributing editor for Outside magazine. Her book, The Nature Fix, was an Audible bestseller and was named a top summer read by JP Morgan.


      I’m excited to speak to Florence today about why nature is so important for managing our stress better, what actually happens to our brain when we are outdoors and if there is a connection between spending time in nature and the quality of our skin.
