  • Why Do Believers Still Struggle with Shame? - Ep 25 (101)
    Apr 21 2026

    Shame whispers, “You’re not worthy.”

The Gospel declares, “You are forgiven.”

In this episode of Milk to Meat, we examine why believers who love Jesus can still struggle with deep shame. We uncover how misunderstanding forgiveness, holding onto false guilt, and confusing conviction with condemnation can keep us stuck.

Through Romans 6, we learn that our old self has been crucified with Christ. We are not paying for sins Jesus already paid for. And through Isaiah 6, we see that encountering God’s holiness may expose our brokenness — but it also leads to cleansing and restoration.

Shame is not proof of spirituality. Beating yourself up does not make you closer to God. True growth comes from repentance empowered by grace, not self-punishment fueled by pride.

God calls us to holiness — not humiliation. As we draw near to Him, He transforms us.

Freedom begins when we stop trying to earn what Jesus already secured.

    • Renew your mind with Scripture

  • BONUS EPISODE - From Passover to Resurrection: Why Jesus Came (It Wasn’t Just to Die)
    Apr 4 2026

In this follow up to our Passover to the Resurrection episode, we recorded live in front of an audience, we unpack the full scope of Jesus’ mission and the prophetic plan of God.

Looking closely at John 17, we explore how Jesus declared that He had already completed the work given to Him—before going to the cross—and what that reveals about His true purpose.

This episode examines the idea that Jesus was not simply “born to die,” but was sent to reveal the Father, establish the Kingdom of God, and initiate a plan of restoration for all creation.

Through passages in John, Luke, and beyond, we discuss:

Jesus as the visible image of the Father

The nature and arrival of the Kingdom of God

God’s restoration plan from the fall to the resurrection

The role of believers as participants in Kingdom work

We also challenge the common view of salvation as the end goal, reframing it instead as the beginning of a life lived in alignment with God’s Kingdom.

This episode invites listeners to consider a deeper question:

What does it mean to actively participate in the work Jesus began?

  • The Spirit Behind the Rule - Ep 22 (101)
    Mar 31 2026

    Link to devotionals - https://cliffviewchurch.org/devotionals

Jesus didn’t lower the standard — He raised it to the level of the heart.

In this episode of Milk to Meat, we examine what it means to live by the Spirit instead of rigid legalism. But we also address a crucial warning: the Holy Spirit never leads contrary to Scripture. Spirit-led living is not permission to do what we want and blame it on God.

Through Matthew 5, we see that the issue isn’t just behavior — it’s the heart. Anger, lust, pride, and selfish ambition reveal what rules alone cannot fix. The Spirit doesn’t abolish righteousness; He writes it on our hearts.

    We discuss:

    • Why Spirit-led freedom deepens obedience

    • How serving others defines true liberty

    • Why surrender unlocks peace and identity

    • What daily, practical Spirit-dependence looks like

The Spirit doesn’t free us from God’s standards — He empowers us to fulfill them from the inside out.

What does freedom in Christ actually look like on a Tuesday afternoon? In this episode of Milk to Meat, we move beyond theory and into daily living. True freedom isn’t doing whatever we want — it’s walking in the power of the Holy Spirit, saying no to sin, and saying yes to righteousness.

We unpack what it means to live free from sin’s control, free from performance-based guilt, and free to obey God out of love instead of fear. Because of Jesus’ finished work, we are not slaves to old habits or destructive patterns — we are new creations empowered by the Spirit.

Freedom in Christ means assurance of grace, confidence in salvation, and restored relationship with a loving Father who desires to walk with us daily.

If you’ve ever wondered, “What does living free actually look like?” — this episode is for you.
